Saw three babies at once this morning. Couldn't get a picture, but I thought that was worth sharing
Very nice

Yeah me too . Both of the Gobys were from West Side Pets.

That would be awesome Wes, I'm pretty flexible. I know we discused the auction in November; I can try to make that. If there's another way you'd like to meet just shoot me a pm or email!
Sad news . My puffer jumped out of the tank last night. It's a shame because he'd been doing so well for nearly six months now. Everything else is happy; I'll try to post an update later this week.
Doing some research I've read that it's very rare for them to jump, but not unheard of. Not sure if I'm going to try to do something about a top for the aquarium; I'd have to make my own. This is the third jumper after my goby and a shrimp.

I haven't done any water testing but everything seems to stay happy. I'm doing big water changes weekly, cleaning the filter as often as I can find the time, and trimming the plants when they get crazy. That's all as far as upkeep goes though.
On an added note, I'm starting to see itty bitty white snails now that puffer has been gone for a few days. I guess he had been munching their numbers down!

Nice! The snails and eggs were most likely in your intakes or around your cartridges I always find some in there.
Lots of stuff deserving of an update, I apologize.
First of all, due to all my recent jumpers I created my very own (yes I'm very proud of myself) Pico lid, since they don't make anything for my tank.
I measured the top as accurately as I could due to the curve and cut some acetate plexiglass to the shape of my rim, doing the same thing again so I could sandwich some bird netting in between with expanding glue, painted and voila. More pics:
You may also noticed I got a new filter (an AC 20). It just fits. But I felt like my tank needed more flow. On it's lowest setting, the flow is perfect and maybe even a little low now that it's getting dirty, needless to say I'm very happy, though I was worried with dimensions being so close.
I purchased a new dwarf puffer, and albeit difficult, I've coaxed the little bugger to eat frozen brine, so all is well. I haven't been able to nail a decent picture of him, but once I get home and clean my tank it should be easier. Updated FTS:

P.S. You should post a DIY thread on your tank cover

Thanks, I'll definitely think about it, kinda wish I'd taken more pictures of the process.
You may also notice in one of those pics I am attempting breed snails for my puffer in a bowl, we'll see how that goes .
The Otos really seem to like eachother, they always swim together, perch together and follow eachother. And my Puffer although skittish is getting slowly better at not wigging out all the time.
