| Sorry about Bumblebee... It seems doubtful he'll turn up at this point. It's just so weird that he disappeared because he was eating fine and behaving normally... Glad that the shrimp have been more active and social though! | |

| Update: The parsley plant is taking off, I've been trimming it so it doesn't leave the tank, but it's forming a nice canopy over the left front portion of the tank. My Anubias is doing really well. It's already grown one big new head and is starting to grow another new one. The Sunset Hygrophila is rooting like crazy, but it's found a nice spot just above the water to stop growing upwards. I haven't had to trim it in a week or so. It looks nice, so until it's rooted a ton, I won't replant it. Dwarf Sag is doing good, I found another sprout today! On another note I've replaced my missing goby with a new bumblebee goby! He's been very social so far. Here's a FTS: | |

| Unfortunately bumblebee Jr. died this morning. I found him this time though which did make things easier. I have a feeling bumblebee gobys may be more difficult to maintain in a freshwater environment than I can handle. From what I've read, I've seen conflicting viewpoints on whether one should keep bumblebee gobys in freshwater (as opposed to brackish). I think both bumblebees were great companions for my puffer, as they got along great (the first actually lasting 4 weeks just fine). But if they don't do well in freshwater planted aquariums, then perhaps I should look at getting another type of fish. I will think on this. In the meantime does anyone else have some thoughts? | |

| Sorry about goby jr. You might be right that they prefer brackish so it just isn't working out. Maybe a different kind of fish next time? Don't have any suggestions though... | |

| Maybe, I thought about converting to add a little salt, but I am really happy with my tank as it is. I don't want to lose my puffer or any of my plants. I'm quite proud From what I've read, you can put a d-puffer in brackish water, but it won't do as well and will likely die sooner than if they are in fw | |

| Yeah, I wouldn't risk making your tank brackish. You've got too much going right to try to adjust everything on the account of a tiny goby that could have died for a number of reasons... | |

| Sorry that there hasn't been an update in a while guys. Everything is looking great! I've added 3 new plants (one of which is doing great). I will try to get some pictures up within the next week. My apartment has to have intense fumigation done to remove a bed bug infestation So needless to say I've had a crazy week. I was able to move my aquarium to safer place (thanks to it being so small) and everything is doing fine so far. On another note (while I evacuated my belongings from the apartment) I found a crispified bumblebee goby (Bumblebee Sr.) in my sock drawer . So that explains what happened to him. | |

| Poor Bumblebee Sr. It happens, though... Looking forward to a new update soon (with pics!). Hoping the bed bug ordeal is resolved quickly too! | |

| Just got my tank back and set up. The fiasco with my apartment did not end quickly, but fortunately everyone in the tank made it through two moves and an extended field trip just fine! I'll post a more thorough update with pictures later this week! | |

| Update: Everything is good. Plants are all growing like crazy with some new additions. The blue leaf stem plant is unknown, but unfortunately it's losing some of it's blue coloring in the low light, but still growing very well. The long small leafed plant are baby tears I think. I also added some crypts which did not do so hotly, they melted away from the shock of the move. I will try them again some other day. The Anubias has several new heads, as well as the dwarf sag. I'm having to trim back the parsley plant several times a week. As far as animalia go, Nothing much to report, everything is doing great. Puffer is now eating his frozen shrimp right off of my fingers, and now likes to nimbly look around my fingers whenever I have my hands in the water to see if I'm hiding some brine shrimp from him. I think Mrs. Shrimp may be pregnant again, more on this later. FTS: | |

| Mrs Shrimp was posing the other day so I had to get a pic. So here's what a pregnant shrimp looks like. It's kind of wild because you can see all of the eggs moving a little. The entire time it looks like she's using her back legs to kick all the eggs back into her body constantly. Be thankful you don't have to do this when you're pregnant, ladies. On another somewhat related note, Uncle shrimp (one of the smaller males) committed suicide by climbing out of the tank last night . | |

| Evidence of possible shrimp babies. Not the best pictures I'm sorry. What I think is a baby is closer to the tip of pride rock. By the messy white roots. - Sam_G wrote:
