| No names picked out yet.
The harlequin is doing great! So far he is being a good citizen. The first night when the lights went off him and the harlequin had standoff, but the next morning they were both in one piece!

| So I guess I hadn't posted on here about it. If you look up at the pictures with the harlequin tusk you can see that there is algae on the rocks. It seemed to bloom out of no where, choking out all of my zoas forcing them to close, it got so bad my fuzzy dwarf lionfish actually had some on his fins.
So to make things worse my return pump broke last monday. I contacted reeflo it took a day to figure out the problem (I opened up the pump and found what was broken). They sent me a new BH1100 to replace the old one and didn't demand me to return the old one.
So I now had no skimmer, no carbon and no filtration. I began dosing my tank with hydrogen peroxide to control the dinos. Sadly since I couldn't scrape it off and have it go into my filter sock it is still working very slow (I'll brush it off tomorrow).
Three nights after the pump went out I noticed the harlequin skimming his back fin on the surface of the water and then put his mouth out. I realized the tank had no oxygen since there was no air bubble being produced anywhere and the algae was abundant (using it to grow). I threw in an air stone and 30 minutes later the harlequin was happy.
Today the pump came in, apparently UPS doesn't know how to knock so I found it on the porch at 10:15. Instead of redoing my plumbing, I unbolted the pump from its base and placed it on the old base. Within the next hour I had everything setup and running again. Hopefully it will be fine.

| Oh Nick, that sucks. Such drama Hopefully things clear up with your new pump. As far as the algae, do you need more urchins or something? | |

| So far everything is running good. The algae is diminishing, but it is till there. I need to scrub down everything in the tank and let the filter sock suck it up. Sadly my longspine urchin is dying :/ | |

| Thanks! It's beautiful, I had always wanted one. It took about 10 minutes to get the foot to release, at which point the owners hand had two numb fingers lol. I had a cut on my finger which it took advantage of when I grabbed it to place it in the tank. I honestly had never been in that much pain in my life. My arm was shaking from the pain for about 30 minutes lol.
I picked the tunicate up from Sarasota on Saturday, it should just filter the water like a typical sponge. I couldn't get a shot that really showed its colors, I'll try for it another day.

Btw, don't think that's a wrasse. Mr. Vargas said today that all wrasses have an unbroken dorsal fin. Dragging this up again... So this is for sale in the divers den... a Caribbean marbled blenny... http://www.liveaquaria.com/diversden/ItemDisplay.cfm?c=2733+3&ddid=168011

| Thanks man. The tank is finally doing good, I picked up a mis-bar goldstripe maroon clown from Corals and Fins the other day and he's doing great so far. I also got a green slimmer that is about 4 in tall with several 1in branches for 35 bucks from Creative aquariums, as well as a bi-color torch | |

| Green slimer and neon green hydnophora . These are just tester SPS to see if they can do good in the water I am using. I'm using just fish salt (not the expensive reef salt). So far everything is looking great. Sadly the tunicate turned to smelly mush... lol On a crappy note... I noticed my maroon was breating heavily. I tested my parameters and my po4 was at 1.06, and my N03 was between 5ppm-10ppm... SO I TOOK THE PLUNGE. My reactor- next to microbacter and biopellets The modded upper The filled chamber and the reactor in progress Hopefully I will start to see a gradual decrease in these levels, and my skimmer will be strong enough to break up the oxygen so my fish wont suffocate. I added an air pump to try and add to the oxygen content of my water. I have my fingers crossed. | |

| Everything looks good in the pics! That sucks that your phosphates rose like that, though...Hopefully the reactor will get them under control... | |

| So I haven't been on for quite a while. My tank is doing good, last I checked my phosphates was around two weeks ago and they had dropped 1.08 down to .64 over the past month or so. Every coral in my tank is doing great, with the exception on my haddoni. It is doing good, it just wont stay put... Now for some quick photos, I went to creative aquariums yesterday and picked up some amazing coral A wicked blasto Sunset Monti (I'm going to try and get it to encrust my overflow) "wild pokerstar monti" My Christmas present from Samantha Rainbow Acan New coral | |

| I had my eyes on those blastos for over a month and they finally came down in price so I had to get em, and don't sell me short! I've had a piece of monti as well as the green slimer in there for a month+ and thanks Dan! I figured sometime this weekend I will glue it to the overflow | |
