| My favorite new macro is the Gracilaria Hayi. The Eucheuma is really cool, but, unfortunately, it's dying. I'm not sure if it's from shipping stress, or if it doesn't like my water quality/chemistry. It's unfortunate because the orange color was a nice addition to the aquarium. I've already taken half of it out of the aquarium because it turned white and was disintegrating, but maybe the rest will pull through. | |

| I think i've seen the Enteromorpha before on the beach! O: always thought it was just shredded ulva Make sure to keep misting those mangroves with RO water every few days They take up a lot of magnesium if I remember correctly.. If you could post a pic of the "mystery macro" I gave you at the raffle that would help a lot Mine has stayed small and clumpy unlike the my gracc. Maybe the different lighting has done something though? | |

| The enteromorpha does look like shredded ulva. It's not what I was expecting, but it's cool.
I forgot about misting the mangroves. Why is that important?
I'll try to get a pic of the "mystery macro", and post it. | |

| the mangroves expel excess salt through the leaves. They soak up small amounts of your aquarium water for their planty functions but must remove the salt in order to do so. In the wild the rain would wash off this excess salt. If too much salt builds up proper o2/co2 exchange cannot happen and the plant is starved of co2. | |

| I woke up to find that almost all of my enteromorpha got shredded up in my Koralias. So sick of this happening. My koralias have eaten gracilaria, my beautiful halymenia, and now my enteromorpha. | |

| I'm using one maxi-jet. The flow isn't that strong in the tank, but the macros always blow free anyway. | |

| I haven't named the goby yet. He's sooooooo small! And, he's adorable! He's so small he can fit in a normal spoon with water. I had planned to add a few small gobies to go with the mandarins. Was planning on getting a yellow clown goby and two neon gobies, but I couldn't find any yesterday, and I couldn't resist buying the panda goby. I'm a little worried about how small he is, but he seemed fine yesterday when I put him in the aquarium. Now I can't find him. Trying to find a .5" goby in a 47 gallon is like searching for a needle in a haystack! | |
