| Hello all, I am new to the club so I figured I would introduce my tank. It is a Standard Predrilled 65 gallon with a 20 gallon long refugium. This setup has been in place for a little over 2 years, but everything has been moved from a 35 gallon Hexagon that was setup for about 8 years prior. The refugium has not been touched from the original system. Little details: Filtration: Filtration for this tank is achieved using the oversized refugium of macroalgae (calerpa and chaeto), and a mangrove. This refugium has a ~4 inch deep sand bed. Additional filtration is provided by a Phosban reactor with Rowa Phos, and a bit of filter floss in the overflow to remove some particulates.
Pumps and Flow: The main return pump for this aquarium is a Mag Drive 9.5. The phosban reactor is mainly fed by a gravity line off my drain and is supplemented by a small maxijet. In tank flow is provided by a Vortec MP10w ES on the Reef Crest mode at 80%. This is supplemented by a Korralia 4 on the opposite wall.
Lighting: Sump lighting is 2 clamp lights running 6500k power compacts 18 hours a day opposite of my main display to control pH swings. Main tank lighting is supplied by 2 150 watt HQI halides using 14k Phoenix bulbs on a Galaxy dual electronic ballast. Actinics are provided by a 2 bulb T5 unit running Giesmann actinics and 2 blue leds. All lighting for the main display have been scavenged from existing units from my past and built into my hood, affectionately named Frankenstien.
Fishes: 2 black and white striped damsels 1 yellow tail blue damsel 1 Maroon Clownfish Mated pair of neon dottybacks 1 goby I never bought but found in my refugium a couple months ago 1 6 line wrasse
Inverts: 1 Coral Banded Shrimp (from mango man) emerald crabs Turbo snails Nassarius snails blue leg crabs
Corals: Lots......SPS, LPS, Softies

| Nice tank. Is that a Neon Dottyback?
You must like the aggressive fish (that + damsels). | |

| Thanks, For me the fish are secondary as my interests are more in the corals and inverts. Funny how the fish list just ended up being fairly aggressive. The Neon Dottybacks really are not that aggressive in this tank. The worst citizen by far is the 6 line wrasse which has essentially broken up my mated pair of neon dottybacks. The smaller of the dotty's has relocated itself to the refugium, and I am not about to tear it apart to get it out | |

| +1 on sixline wrasses being aggressive! They're horrible! Dottyback are never aggressive for me either.. Beautiful tank! I love all the blue and teal colors that you have in there! What is that blue coral in the third pic from the top? (bottom of pic) | |
