| I noticed that one of my dispar anthias has some sort of injury on its side. It looks similar to a bruise... Any help is appreciated. | |

| Hmm. My guess is that your fish got stung by a coral or that it has a parasite or disease. As long as none of your fish are fighting, I wouldn't suspect a bruise or injury of that sort.

| After inspecting the fish in person, it appears to be a disease or parasite. It is a volcano-shaped region, with the fish's body protruding a few millimeters with a crater in the center. The fish is swimming okay, but is breathing heavily in comparison to the other fish. I don't have a suggestion as to what disease or parasite... I suggest to QT it... | |

| It still looks fine to me, slightly worse than yesterday. I'll wait a day or so deciding if I should set up at QT | |

| Just an update lol... The anthias worsened, it looked as if a big crater formed in it and then it must have died. I'm assuming it was a parasite. | |

| here is what i think it is i believe from just seeing the photo that it a combination of two things one a parasite and two the scales around the infection fell off making it worse my suggestion they sell a product that kills any parasite on fish or in the water its at petco its like 5 bucks and it kills everything parasitic id use that two id also try to quarintine the anthias they are very hardy and make excellent recoveries so expect the best | |

| It died approximately 7 months ago, but thanks. Also most products that I am aware of are not reef friendly so It would have posed an issue. | |
