Epic Reef Empty
PostSubject: Epic Reef   Epic Reef EmptyThu May 10, 2012 2:39 pm

Visited Epic Reef down in Sarasota for the first time yesterday. Nice little store. Their fish selection was kind of small, but they had a nice variety of corals and drygoods to choose from. Prices were fair (no awesome steals, but no rip-offs). Ended up purchasing a nice piece of Golden Eye chalice for $30.

The owner informed me that they plan to renovate the store soon. They are tearing out the back room and making more space for fish and two huge tubs of corals. The renovations should be complete around August. It'll be cool to see how the place changes over the next few months! Smile

Went in there yesterday and was very pleased! Talked with the owner for about 2 hours. Great guy and he won't rip you off. He's a hobbyist that owns a store, not a business man Smile

picked up a multi eye war paint chalice for $20, coulnd't possibly be happier Very Happy
wish i had more money, would've bought quite a lot. Great deals on most things

The display tanks he had were perfect, I probably could have looked at them for hours. Really nice people who were fun to talk to. I picked up some amazing coral, two things that I have literally always wanted.

I got a small orange fungia-

AND MY Green Haddoni (about 10-12in)

Over all it was a great store with great prices and a healthy selection of everything you could want!
