Hi everyone, I'm Jared Hoey. I was at the club last night and really enjoyed it, especially the goodie bag. Smile I'm a senior double majoring in social science education and history. I didn't start raising fish until I came to USF, starting off with a 1.5 gallon in my dorm. I now have a 10 gallon freshwater tank with a comet goldfish, a dojo loach, and a rosy red minnow. I'll post a picture soon. Smile

Hi Jared!

I wasnt at the meeting so I didnt meet you, but your tank sounds pretty cool! Im not in the freshwater business, so I've never heard of a dojo loach before. He looks neat!

Thanks for the welcomes everyone. Thanks for the compliment on the dojo, they're pretty neat. They're also known as a weather loach, because they can sense changes in temperature because of the changes in barometric pressure. She'll start swimming erratically around the tank when the weather's about to change.

Welcome to the group. You didn't meet me at the meeting because they are always one days I have to work =[ (Curse Bullrunner!!!!!!!). But awesome tank from what I hear, though im not a huge fan of goldfish(except the snack). If you ever want help on freshwater shoot me a message and I can give you pointers and what not(its my specialty, im trying to learn more about saltwater lol). But I keep EBJDs, rainbow fish, and I have a German Blue Ram pair(still young in parenting, but are getting better). All my tanks are planted and if you ever move to plat your tank I can give you substrate tips if you want.
