55 Gallon Tiger Oscar Tank

Very cool! Do you just have one oscar in the tank?

Yeah, they get big and they eat EVERYTHING. I've been thinking about doing a little diy tank divider so that I can have some variety.

I never had luck keeping other fish with Oscars, besides the feeders he didn't eat and then grew too big. I did make a divider once due to mine not getting along with a fish I attempted to put with the oscar.

Oscars are great, I had one when I was a kid, man did he like to eat and did he get big!!!

If you have oscars of the same size you should be able to keep them together if they get too aggressive you can always change up the hiding spots/plants area to keep them from getting territorial

We just learned a few months ago that oscars like live crickets. It's kinda fun to dump a few in the aquarium and watch the oscar go "Jaws" on them.

have you ever seen them tear up a goldfish - as bad as it is it's kinda awesome to see all those scales glitter

Yeah...but I feel sorry for the goldfish, not so much the crickets though...don't now why...
