| Are there any Legos fans here? For those of you who don't know, a new Legoland is opening right here in Florida! While the rides and attractions are aimed at kids at the age of 6-ish, this is a dream come true for any true Lego fan regardless of age. Perhaps I'm classifying myself as more of a geek by posting this on the forum. But, I am SO EXCITED!!!!! I drug my family with me to Legoland yesterday to obtain our passes. The park doesn't officially open until Oct. 15th, though. Here are some pics!! | |

| Soooooooo cool! They had a big barred gate blocking the entrance, but from what you could see through the gate, it looked AMAZING!!!! I can't wait to see Miniland, and to shop the Lego shops! | |

| Have you been to the lego store in downtown disney? That's where I picked up my mini indiana jones figure keychain.. they had so many, it was nearly impossible to choose!! FUN store! Undoubtedly it will pale in comparison to the goods sold in lego land, but in the meantime! lol | |

| Yes! I LOVE Downtown Disney! Every November they hold a Festival of the Masters competition there. GFLUG (Greater Florida Lego Users Group) comes to the festival and showcases their amazing creations! They also have sidewalk chalk art and crafts and whatnot. So much fun! | |

I have used LDD! I get irritated with it, though. It's slow, kinda clunky, it doesn't have all of the bricks that I need... I designed a Quidditch Pitch for my Lego Hogwarts in LDD, but after that, I gave up using LDD. I think LDD has its uses, but, for me, I like to have the bricks in hand when I build. - schudini wrote:

I just checked the site out. Awesome! I really like the mini Star Wars models! I was a crazy collector of Star Wars Lego sets until the Harry Potter Lego sets came out. | |

| Winter Haven seemed pretty small. If Legoland brings lots of traffic through there, it's going to convert the town! | |

| I know! I heard that if it brings enough attention, they're going to put a Chick-fil-A in! | |

| As long as it's not on a Sunday it's exciting. There's nothing worse than wanting a chicken sandwich on the day of the week that Chick-fil-A is closed | |
