| I wish I could start with the history of my fish experience, but I have had over 5 different tanks in the past and all were unique. Over the past five years I have had many variety of cichlids, community and tropical fish. Now onto the important part of this thread... My current tank! My current tank is a marineland 56 gallon tank that I purchased at petsmart as a combo (stand, tank, glass top) The black cabinet has a tinted glass door and is the perfect height for my rena XP2 and can house an XP3 Luckily I had plenty of help the day I was setting it up I set it up hastily with more than 2/3s of the water coming from a larger tank, and used mechanical filtration from the same established tank to help speed up the process. After a week and a half I had the tank up and running perfectly ! I placed my old honduran red point and my parrot fish in the tank. They breed together and within a days time she had laid eggs Sadly they had to leave after a while because they weren't even in heat and were beating up my red tail sternella and queen pleco. So I brought them into a store and bought 6 new fish! I bought honey sunset gouramis!!! When I have more time I will attempt to post better quality pictures of my gouramis soon and picture of my plecos when they come out at night! | |

| Yeah the look great with the extra light on my tank! In the second to last picture the two of them nipped at each other and that's why I was able to catch his fin up like that lol. | |

| Want to see some big plecos, just go to the pond by the School of Music and you will catch them cleaning the turtles backs.
There are some that are over 2ft. long in the hillsborough river. I've seen them cleaning the algae off the boat ramp by Fowler Ave and I-75.

There are some that are over 2ft. long in the hillsborough river. I've seen them cleaning the algae off the boat ramp by Fowler Ave and I-75. That reminds me... You guys probably didn't get a chance to see them, but the pond had two cool, unique fish. One was an albino catfish that was about 34" long. The other looked like a Pacu and was only 14-16" long, but was very tall and thick. When it swam around the lake, it produced a "bow wave" similar to a boat wake even though the fish was underwater (it had to be close to the surface to do this though). Looked really cool cause you could spot the fish just about anywhere in the lake. Then people started fishing in the lake. Both fish disappeared. Back on topic, your tank looks cool Nick.

| What's funny is I have spent hours and hours at that pond (my first degree was fine art), but since I rehabilitate wind birds.. all I did was stare at the feathered visitors instead of the scaled ones!! D'OH!! A shame about the missing fish, I wish fishing there was not allowed :/ | |
