PostSubject: Your prized fish?   Your prized fish? EmptyFri Sep 09, 2011 1:51 pm

Hey all! Just a silly topic, but I can't help but wonder!

Now that my tank is done being obnoxious, I can finally go ahead and add in my favorite fish.. african butterflies!!! In Missouri I kept a butterfly and everyone remarked on how creepy she was.. I disagree, I thought she was the most stunning thing in the tank!

So, what's the one fish you'd love to have the most? Or do you already have it? Question

My prized fish is my Blackcap Basslet, both for looks and personality.

Schudini, the black caps are beautiful! I'm just not so sure a black cap would agree with my royal gramma.. fencing

Lovely fish! I almost got a blackcap basslet for my 50 gallon. They seem like cool fish! Smile

My prized fish is my leopard wrasse.

Your prized fish? DSC03568-4

One day (when I have a bigger aquarium and some more money), I'd like to try to keep a school of leopard wrasses. I've always wanted to keep a school of anthias as well.

Probably not, although mine is very mild tempered. It is more like a miniature grouper, as it will "hover" in the water and watch people outside.

That picture looks familiar Smile

I've always wanted to keep a school of Banggai cardinals, and eventually breed them.

Yeah, I want to breed saltwater fish one day. Probably start with something like clownfish and then move on to more difficult fish. Very Happy

I amend my earlier post. I ran into this wrasse about a year ago on Liveaquaria, and fell in love. I think this wrasse is just beautiful...

They were $70-$100 on Liveaquaria. I've never seen one in person...

Just read about the peppermint angel. CRAZY! Shocked First the price is CRAZY, but it is also is collected from deep water and requires really cold temperatures in comparison to the fish we typically keep. Even if I had a money tree in my backyard, I'm not sure I'd risk it on this fish. It is beautiful, though. Smile
