September Meeting Summary

This evening we had our first ever Aquarist Club at USF meeting! Thank you to Dr. Motta who gave a wonderful presentation and to all of the members that showed up!

Important Announcements from the Meeting:

1. We are still looking for members to fill the positions of either Vice President or Historian. If you are interested, please e-mail me ASAP.

2. We are going to delay our group order from our online store for another week or so to allow everyone more time to pm/e-mail me their orders. If you want to participate in the group order (free shipping!) pm/e-mail me your order ASAP.

great meeting, wish i could of stayed longer to chit chat. maybe next time.

We might need a bigger room for the next speaker. It would be awesome if he is bringing some aquariums to display (hint hint).

I'm glad you both enjoyed the meeting (and snacks)!

I actually just spoke with Dr. Silverman, and depending on how many people RSVP for Kenji Kawabata's talk next month, he's willing to let us use the Honors College's largest conference room.

And, while it would be totally cool if Kenji could bring some of his aquariums, that seems a little far-fetched. I think we're going to have to be satisfied with a powerpoint.

for the record, the pier aquarium has been able to set up touch tanks on the fly for presentation purposes

I can contact Kenji and see what he can do. I wouldn't expect any touch tanks at the meeting, though...

Touch tanks= fun times!

Maybe not this meeting, but in future events.. well, you never know! (plus holy crap, baby horseshoe crab?! SO cute!)
